- Roofing and construction at height: Use an EN 361 full-body harness with an energy-absorbing lanyard or a retractable lifeline, anchored to a rated EN 795 point. Check the fall clearance below the work position carefully.
- Scaffolding and steel erection: Twin-leg lanyards allow a worker to stay connected while moving between anchor points, so protection is never interrupted.
- Confined or restricted access work: Retractable devices reduce fall distance in tight spaces where a standard lanyard would allow too much travel.
- Edge and platform work: Where feasible, use a restraint system with a work positioning belt to prevent the worker from reaching the fall hazard at all.
